The Z1 Helmet features advanced KinetiCore technology to better absorb and disperse impact energy, ensuring maximum safety. The exterior gives a stylish look, while the adjustable fit system ensures a comfortable and stable fit.
Optimal fit and ventilation
With its lightweight construction, the Z1 Helmet minimises neck strain and fatigue, making it perfect for long rides. The helmet also offers excellent ventilation to keep your head cool and dry, even during intense rides. Reflective details increase visibility in low-light conditions, and the helmet is suitable for both professional racers and recreational cyclists who value style and safety.

I’m happy with this purchase
Unfortunately, I haven’t cycled much with it yet, but what’s already striking is the good fit. The sophisticated adjustment mechanism and the absence of MIPS are a plus here. The plastic used in the adjustment mechanism looks fragile and could well limit its lifespan. The helmet isn’t any warmer than a MIPS helmet, and depending on how you ride in the wind, it’s even slightly cooler – at least when biking in the evening. I haven’t yet had the chance to see if it’s also slightly cooler when biking during the day. The cut-out for glasses is the sort of thing you’d call ‘we’re doing this for the marketing department’ – in other words, it’s completely useless. The arms of your glasses don’t fit round your head, so you’re left with the choice of either letting them fall out every time, or wedging them between your head and the helmet – which is certainly not comfortable. What’s more, the glasses hang in front of your forehead, which doesn’t look great. I’ve since found a spot on the helmet that works well for storing glasses: one recess angled upwards.

Nice helmet, but a few minor downsides
I first had the old lazer Z1 and wanted the same one again because I really liked it. This helmet is great, only two downsides: the straps at the ears are not adjustable (only at the bottom of the chin), so the strap at my right ear doesn't fit properly (too loose). And my cycling glasses don't fit well in the helmet, so the legs poke into my head, which is not comfortable.

Looks sleek, sleeker than the previous one.
I ordered this helmet because me previous Z1 needed replacing and was competitively priced here at the time.

Great product
So far this product has been great. Great fit and it is extremly light which is noticable on long rides
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
After long comparing features and fitting, this turned out to be the best choice for me.
The helmet fits great, even better than my Giro van (expensive model, bought 8 years ago), but that's personal. Never buy a helmet online that you haven't tried on in shop first. The helmet is light and ventilates very well too.
